Winner of the Duff Cooper Prize for nonfiction and the Wolfson Prize for history, Christopher de Hamel talks about how medieval manuscripts and the Book of Hours, objects of supreme luxury and symbols of national identity, can through their stories, give us a new perspective on our history, art and culture.
