What is the format of Festival events?
Events normally last for 60 minutes unless otherwise stated. Authors are generally in conversation with an interviewer, or do a presentation/talk for about 45 minutes. The last 15 minutes are devoted to answering questions from the audience. The event is followed by a book signing in the venue's foyer during which authors meet members of the audience.
What does the F symbol in the 2011 brochure mean?
Events marked with the F symbol indicate a fiction event which has a special ticket offer for members of registered reading groups.

Can I buy tickets at the door?
It is best to book in advance to avoid disappointment. However, most venues will sell tickets on the door subject to availability.
Where can I collect my tickets from?
Except for events at The Electric Theatre, tickets must be collected from the Tourist Information Centre by 12 noon on the day of the event.
For tickets not booked through the Festival Box Offices, please refer to the relevant box offices for arrangements for collecting tickets.

Can I bring children to events?
We cannot admit babes in arms unless indicated. Young children are admitted but not encouraged unless you are confident that your child is old enough to be attentive to the performance and not to be a distraction to other members of the audience. Everyone must have a valid ticket and occupy a seat. Accompanying adults will be asked to remove any noisy young children.
