The Literally Brilliant Book Awards is a scheme for primary school children organised by The West Surrey Partnership and Guildford Book Festival.
We aim to not only give as many children as possible the chance to read books, but also to encourage them to think critically about what they are reading, giving them the opportunity to voice their opinions and discover what inspires them.
Schools in involved are provided with two free sets of the five shortlisted books from new authors which they read over the course of the year. In June the children are invited to vote on their favourite, with the winning author announced at our awards ceremony hosted by Jack Meggitt-Phillips.

“I loved it. Was really different to anything I have read before. Everyone should read this!”
